First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their support, but sadly I am going to close down this blog. On the bright side, I am taking all my blog entries and posting them in wordpress (the school found out about my blog and wanted me to change to wordpress). Here is the new link: http://omgthatslife.wordpress.com
I'm still working on it, so be patient :D
Thank you all

My videos
I'm on youtube, and I finally decided to post some videos.
My first video
So I'm a fan of tennis, and of course I play the sport. Recently I received a Gopro, and didn't have much use for it (I don't really do anything amazing, apart from attaching it to my dog's collar and see what he does all day). Then I saw my tennis racket lying there, I grabbed some elastics and stuck my camera on my racket. Since I didn't have tennis that day, I just tried it out agains the wall of my garage and garden. Looks pretty neat (I think).I would have tried it on court, but the camera is heavy and I have trouble hitting a ball with it on my racket. Plus it would fly off once in a while (oups). Anyways, check out my video and tell me what you think:

My second video
Imagine a world where gay is straight and straight is gay. Where being gay is "normal" and being straight is a "sin".
It's a very moving short video, worth watching honestly.
Go the extra mile and stop crying please
I don’t get it? Why is she crying? Woman, you got criticized
once on your essay, and now you’re crying. My essay has been bled with red ink.
I’ve got to be honest; I don’t understand people who can’t
receive criticism. I am currently studying in a sector where you are going to
be criticized. Plus she worked on her paper at the last minute and handed it
late. I was brought up to receive, accept and build on criticism, if it’s
constructive and said in a nice manner. First of all, when a teacher assigns a
paper, I will work on straight away; I’m not going to leave it until tomorrow
or the weekend because I already know that I have other classes, and that other
teachers will give me more work. I get laughed at whenever I say this to my
classmates. I’m sorry if I like my work to be done nicely and properly.
When my work is handed back to me, there are always
corrections needed. Unlike my classmates who just mope around, I go up to the
teacher and ask him “what can I do better?” and “can I do it again?”. I will do
my work again and again, until it is close to perfect, even if it doesn’t count
for my grade. It counts a lot for me. Plus the next time we have to write a
similar essay, I will ready.
My classmates laugh at me: “We are only in our first year?
Why are you working so hard? This year is the only one we get to relax”. I did
the IB (international baccalaureate) before I started uni; I am trained to work
quickly and efficiently.
Plus I just finished three different internships (I had a
long vacation, so instead of doing nothing like most of my classmates, I
decided to polish my CV) and every one of my tutors always said the same thing:
“You work well, you work fast. We can count on you and know that you work will
be of good quality”.
So yeah, I don’t understand lazy people who can’t redo some
work, even if it doesn’t count for your grade, who don’t read extra material
(at worst you have more knowledge, even if it bores you) and those who break
down crying because the teacher said their paper “lacked information”. It will
always pay off, whether you are in school or at work, to go the extra mile.
That’s even my motto: “Always go the extra mile” and “if you want something, go
get it.
